On March 17, 2026, MAXON announced the official commercial availability of Redshift for Vectorworks. Additionally, the company revealed the launch of public testing for Redshift for Autodesk Revit®. This marks another significant milestone in MAXON's expansion into the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) market, with plans to introduce more integrated solutions in the future.

Maxon's AEC solution is tailored for architects and interior designers, seamlessly integrating its industry-renowned film-quality rendering technology, Redshift, and the deep creative capabilities of Cinema 4D into a professional Archviz workflow. As a native plugin for leading CAD/BIM platforms, Maxon officially enters the market with Redshift for Vectorworks. This version is released simultaneously with Vectorworks 2026 (Update 4). With this solution, users can seamlessly switch within a unified ecosystem, from real-time design preview to high-end photorealistic rendering. Redshift for Revit is currently in beta testing and will be officially released later this year, with plans to introduce more integrations in 2026 and 2027.

Nicolas Burtnyk, Senior Vice President of Rendering Business at Maxon, said, "Maxon tools have a profound historical legacy in the media and entertainment industry. They have assisted the creative teams behind numerous Hollywood blockbusters in producing visual effects, winning Oscars in the process. Now, we are bringing this 'magic' to architects and interior designers, helping them turn their visions into visual experiences that rival the big screen.". ”

Setting a new standard for end-to-end construction workflow

Relying on MAXON's robust 3D ecosystem, the new AEC solution offers the following features:

Real-time architectural visualization. Architects can instantly view the real-time design effects in the CAD environment and directly utilize the Redshift technology, which has been used in theatrical films, to enhance the scene expressiveness - without leaving the design platform throughout the process. Additionally, projects can be sent to Cinema 4D with one click for advanced modeling, animation, simulation, shuttling effects, and rendering.

Easy to use. Early user testing indicates that its main advantages lie in easy installation, intuitive operation, and fast rendering, making it particularly suitable for architects who need to quickly explore iterative workflows involving lighting, materials, and composition.

Ready-to-use intelligent material library. Maxon's platform provides a vast material library named 'Capsule', which is updated monthly and includes materials, plants, furniture, and various environmental elements. Supported by programmatic tools and AI-assisted search, it helps users quickly build scenes and iterate on their ideas. As this Archviz solution continues to evolve, its material library will become increasingly rich.

Both Mac and Windows platforms can achieve a peer-to-peer experience. Whether it's a team using only Mac or Windows devices, or both platforms, Maxon's AEC solution provides consistent performance and functionality across platforms. Architects can collaborate smoothly, share files with peace of mind, and maintain a unified workflow throughout the entire process from design to visualization.

Bringing higher value to architects and studios. Compared to similar solutions on the market, Maxon's first batch of AEC products offer better cost-performance ratio, while also being compatible with a wider range of DCC workflows, including Maya and Houdini.
