Introduction

UltraISO floppy disk drive is a powerful and convenient tool for creating, editing, and converting disc image files. It can directly edit ISO files and extract files and directories from ISO, as well as create disc images from CD-ROM or convert files from hard drives into ISO files. At the same time, you can also process the boot information of ISO files to create bootable CDs. With UltraISO, you can freely create/edit/convert disc image files, and use disc burning software to burn the discs you need.

Function

UltraISO can graphically create and edit ISO files from CDs and hard drives. UltraISO can achieve:

1. Create an image file of the CD from the CD ROM.
2. Create various image files from hard drives, CDs, and network disks.
3. Extract files or folders from ISO files.
4. Edit various image files (such as disc image files created by Nero Burning ROM, Easy CD Creator, and Clone CD).
5. Create bootable ISO files.+) New ISO file processing kernel, more stable and efficient+) Super strong restoration function, can accurately restore edited files, ensuring that ISO files are not damaged+) Can create 1.2M/1.44M/2.88M floppy disk simulation startup disc+) Complete help file (CHM format)+) Implement file list function for reopening+) Support for creating disc image files under Windows 2000 *) Fix occasional directory non opening errors after burning. With UltraISO, you can freely create/edit disc image files and use disc burning software to burn the discs you need.
6. Create and edit music CD files

Characteristic

It can write a hard disk image, allowing for the creation of a bootable USB drive (new versions, such as 9.2 and 9.3). The types of bootable USB drives available include USB-HDD, USB-HDD+, USB-ZIP, and USB-ZIP+, with USB-HDD+being the best.

Usage

1. Browsing CD images and directly extracting files from them
Purpose: Directly extract the content of the CD image without the need to burn it to a CD or virtual CD drive software
Method: Simply open and extract the file or folder (UltraISO supports 27 common CD image formats)
Key point: Extracting files can use the "Extract to" function to specify the destination directory; You can also select the path in the "Local" browser at the bottom of the interface and drag and drop it directly.

2. Make the CD into an ISO and save it on the hard drive
Purpose: Backup disc content for virtual or future burning
Method: Use the "Create Disc Image" function, select the optical drive, and press "Create" to complete the process.
Key point: UltraISO adopts a sector by sector copying method, so it can create an image of the boot disc, which can still be booted after burning. However, UltraISO does not support copying music discs, VCD discs, and encrypted game discs.

3. Create ISO from files that have already been unlocked on the hard drive
Purpose: For burning or virtual use
Method: Create a new ISO file, drag and drop the file or directory from the "Local" browser at the bottom of the interface to the "CD" browser above, and finally save it.
Key point: UltraISO can create 10GB DVD image files. If it is a CD-R, pay attention to the "total size" at the top to avoid exceeding the capacity limit. In addition, it is recommended to choose "UDF" for creating DVD images, and "Joliet" for creating CD images.

4. Creating a startup disc
Purpose: To create a system CD that can be directly booted
Method: Prepare the file as above, the key is to set the correct "boot file". Windows 98 uses setup.img, while Windows NT/2000/XP uses w2ksect. bin. If you don't have it on hand, you can download the accompanying tool EasyBoot, which is available in the installation directory disk1ezboot. In addition, UltraISO can directly extract the boot file (. bif) from the boot disc, or make a bootable floppy disk into a boot file (. img).
Key point: If you want to create an N-in-1 startup CD, you need to use EasyBoot to create a graphical Chinese startup menu. Add the 'ezboot' directory to the root directory of the CD, and select loader.bin for the 'boot file'. In addition, when making an N-in-1, pay attention to selecting the "optimize file" option, which can optimize the 1.5GB Windows 20003-in-1 to around 700MB.

5. Edit the content of an existing disc image file
Purpose: To edit existing disc files, add or delete some content
Method: Open the image file, perform operations such as adding/deleting/renaming, and save it.
Key point: For standard ISO files, UltraISO can be directly saved; Other formats can be selected as ISO, BIN, or NRG. Note that when saving ISO directly, even if the file is deleted, the ISO size may not change; Use "Save As" to compress the unused space, so that the disc image file becomes smaller.

6. CD image format conversion
Purpose: To convert unprocessed formats into ISO, BIN, or NRG formats for use by burning/virtual software
Method: Use the "Convert" function, select the image file, specify the output directory and format, and press "Convert" to complete.
Key point: Selecting multiple files at once can achieve the "batch conversion" function.

7. Create/edit audio track files
Purpose: To create your favorite music CDs
Method: Extract from music CDs using tools such as Nero and ISOBuster WAV produces various audio track files using UltraISO NRG format image file, burned with Nero.
Key points: WAV files must be in CD quality format (16bit/2channel/44.1Khz).

8. UltraISO matching tools
EasyBoot easy to start: can create multiple startup CDs with Chinese menus
SoftDisc Free Disk: Integrate UltraISO with Nero burning software and Daemon Tools virtual CD drive software for use.
