Introduction
MG-SOFT MIB Browser Professional Edition
SNMP browser for Windows, Linux, Mac OS X, and Solaris
MG-SOFT MIB Browser Professional Edition with MIB Compiler is a highly flexible, technically advanced, powerful, and user-friendly SNMP browser. All of these make MG-SOFT MIB Browser the most widely used SNMP browser running on Windows, Linux, Mac OS X, or Solaris operating systems.
The MIB browser allows you to monitor and manage any SNMP devices on the network (i.e. servers, routers, switches, modems, printers, etc.) using the SNMPv1, SNMPv2c, and SNMPv3 protocols through UDP and TCP in IPv4 and IPv6 networks. MIB Browser also supports the Diffie Hellman key exchange model, allowing for seamless connection and management of DOCSIS based SNMPv3 proxies (such as wired modems, CMTS, set-top boxes, etc.). In addition, in addition to the standard SNMPv3 user based security model (USM), MG-SOFT MIB Browser also implements a Transmission Security Model (TSM) and supports SNMPv3 based on TLS and DTLS, as described in RFC 6353. In addition, the software also supports SHA-2 authentication protocol (RFC 7860) and AES-192, AES-256, and 3DES privacy protocols in SNMPv3 USM.
MIB Browser allows you to perform SNMP Get, SNMP GetNext, SNMP GetBulk, and SNMP Set operations. In addition, the software allows you to capture and display SNMP Trap and SNMP Inform packets sent from any SNMP device or application on the network.

MIB browser can simultaneously monitor multiple SNMP devices, including SNMP table viewer, advanced SNMP table editor, logging function, real-time graphical display of query values, scanning MIBs implemented in agents, comparing SNMP agent snapshots, managing SNMPv3 USM users on remote SNMP agents, and other functions.
The universal SNMP tracking window displays the SNMP messages exchanged between the MIB browser and the SNMP agent. SNMP messages are displayed in both the original hexadecimal dump format and the decoded readable format. Therefore, the General SNMP Trace window is particularly useful for debugging when developing SNMP agents and solving problems where SNMP agents cannot respond correctly to MIB Browser queries.
The MG-SOFT MIB Browser now provides a convenient and user-friendly interface for importing MIB modules. During the import process, the selected MIB definition file will be automatically compiled, saved, and loaded into the MIB browser, allowing for immediate device management. Typically, MIB files are provided by the vendor of SNMP managed devices and contain descriptions of the hierarchy of managed objects and object properties within the SNMP device. In other words, the MIB file serves as a roadmap for managing the device.
MG-SOFT MIB Browser Professional Edition is suitable for 32-bit and 64 bit MS Windows operating systems (Windows 7, Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2012, Windows 8. x, Windows 10, Windows Server 2016, Windows Server 2019, Windows 11, Windows Server 2022), Linux operating systems running on Intel x86 and x86_64 architectures (Red Hat, SuSE, Debian, Ubuntu...), as well as Apple Mac OS x (Intel x86_66 architecture) and Solaris (Intel x86 and SPARC platforms).
