The new version 1.0.6 of the ONLYOOFFICE editor Zotero plugin is here! This update focuses on improving user convenience, allowing users to more autonomously control the creation and formatting of cited literature, providing more efficient support for academic research and paper writing。

New interface, easier operation

The plugin interface has been redesigned to make citation operations faster and more intuitive. The navigation is clearer and the core functions can be accessed with just one click, allowing you to focus on writing without having to spend too much effort on citation settings.

Literature library selection function

Now, you can choose a specific Zotero literature library to operate on. This feature will be particularly useful if you are using multiple repositories at the same time (for example, a personal repository coexists with a shared or project repository).

You don't need to search all sources at once, but can limit your search to relevant literature databases to find the desired references faster.

Path: Filter button next to the search bar.

Citation supports adding prefixes and suffixes

Version 1.0.6 has added citation prefix and suffix functions, allowing you to directly add short vocabulary or phrases (such as "see", "compare" and other supplementary explanations) in the citation settings without manually editing the text.

Path: Expand the resource block, enter the suffix and prefix.

Add the function of omitting authors

Add the option to 'omit author' to hide the author's name in the citation. When the author is already mentioned in the sentence, there is no need to repeat the annotation, making the citation format more concise and standardized.

Path: Expand the resource block and check the corresponding checkbox

Upgrading citation positioning function

The plugin now supports citation positioning function, which can accurately mark the specific location in the literature, including page numbers, chapters, sections, and other location identifiers

This feature makes citations more in line with academic standards, especially suitable for scenarios where specific paragraphs of the cited literature are cited.
