Many drawing and design software come with eraser tools, but for professional graphic designers, ordinary eraser tools are definitely unable to meet daily drawing needs. Today, the editor will show you CorelDRAW's powerful eraser tool.

1. Erase object

The eraser tool of CorelDRAW (win system) 2019 graphic design software used by the editor can erase images and vector graphics, such as lines, rectangles, and so on. Users usually double-click or press and drag the mouse to use the eraser tool.

The eraser tool can generally be opened and used in the cropping tool group, or the shortcut key "X" can be used directly in the page state.

2. Adjust thickness

There are two ways to adjust the size of the eraser tool in CorelDRAW graphic design software. One is to directly adjust the eraser thickness parameter in the upper attribute bar after selecting the eraser tool. The larger the value, the larger the eraser. Another way is to adjust the thickness of the eraser by using the "↑" and "↓" keys on the keyboard after selecting the eraser tool.

3. Adjust the shape of the eraser

In CorelDRAW graphic design software, the eraser tool has two pen tip shapes: square and circular, which users can choose from through the property bar.

4. Smooth erase traces

Using the eraser tool of CorelDRAW graphic design software to erase traces can also achieve a smooth and flat trajectory effect. Simply select the "Reduce Nodes" option in the properties bar.

5. Linear erasing trajectory

What should users do if they encounter graphics that require straight line modifications while using CorelDRAW graphic design software? At this point, you can click a point at the location that needs to be erased, and then click another point at the location where the erase is complete. The erase trajectory at this point is a straight line.

Alternatively, pressing the Ctrl key while using the CorelDRAW eraser tool can erase horizontal or vertical marks.

6. Select object erase

When two graphics overlap in the CorelDRAW canvas, the eraser tool can click to select one of the graphic objects to erase without interfering with the other graphic.

As shown in Figure 6, after selecting the eraser tool, we clicked to select the blue rectangle for erasing, but the words "eraser tool" below the rectangle were not erased.
