Do you want to collaborate with other team members to handle MongoDB queries and scripts? In Studio 3T 2023.6, we have introduced team sharing where you can create private folders to share queries and scripts with other Studio 3T users. You can also share database connections. Your colleagues can modify and save the projects you share, which will be immediately available for your use. We offer an additional 7-day free trial for all Studio 3T users to try out team sharing or any of our new features, regardless of which version of Studio 3T you purchased or whether you are using the free version!

Studio 3T 2023.6 can also easily find your Studio 3T settings and license details in the new "Preferences" dialog box.

Team Sharing

In Studio 3T 2023.1, we introduced the new sidebar in Studio 3T. In this version, we have added a My Resources sidebar that provides you with a simple way to share connections, queries, and scripts.

The 'My Resources' sidebar allows you to create shared folders and invite team members to collaborate with you. You can set their access level to 'Manage', 'Edit', or 'View', and also select the connections, queries, and scripts to share.

After setting up the folder, simply drag and drop the project to the desired folder in the "My Resources" tree to share the project. Your other team members can work on the projects you share, save them, and then all members of the shared folder can immediately use the updated version. Alternatively, if you want to share projects that will be stored locally for other Studio 3T users, you can use Quick Share. One possible example of doing this is when you are recruiting new team members and want to share database connections.

You can manage shared folders in the following ways:

Edit folder name
Add team members
Change the access level of team members
Delete team members
Delete a folder for you and all other team members
Leave a shared folder

You can also access other parts of Studio 3T by right clicking on the project in the 'My Resources' tree. For example, if you right-click on a query, you can open the Query Manager or create a new query and load or edit an existing query. If you right-click on a connection, you can open the connection manager or create a new connection, etc.

The 'Preferences' dialog box in Studio 3T 2023.6 has been redesigned and significantly improved:

The detailed information of Studio 3T license is now displayed on the first page of the "Preferences" dialog box.

These settings are grouped in a more intuitive way, making them easier to locate. If you don't know the name of the setting, you can use the search bar to filter the pages of the "Preferences" dialog box for quick access.

Improvements to Studio 3T 2023.6

AI Assistant:

The AI assistant is now able to display the complete questions that will be sent to OpenAI.
If session restore is enabled, AI Helper will fully restore after restarting Studio 3T.

IntelliShell:

When using MongoDB Shell (mongosh), IntelliShell fully supports proxies on MongoDB connections, including when SSH is not enabled.

Favorite: If the id column does not exist in the result, the Table and Tree views will now automatically hide that field.

The "Add New Collection" dialog box has a new "Create Cluster Collection" option to support cluster collections. If necessary, you can specify the name of the clustered index.

Other improvements: Close most message dialog boxes by pressing RETURN or ENTER instead of clicking OK.
